Usquaebach" (Oos : Ke : Bah) est dérivé de l'ancienne expression gaélique, "uisge beatha" qui signifie eau de vie, dont le mot "whisky" est dérivé. Usquaebach, autrefois réservé uniquement à la royauté, aux aristocrates et aux notables, a été introduit pour la première fois aux États-Unis lors de l'inauguration présidentielle de 1969. L'origine d'Usquaebach remonte au début du XVIe siècle, sous le règne de Mary Queen of Scots. Robert Burns l'a immortalisé dans son poème, Tam O'Shanter, avec la phrase "Wi Usquaebae, we'll face the de'il (diable)".
La tradition écrite d'Usquaebach, cependant, remonte (Christie's - Londres) au 28 mars 1768 et a connu plusieurs incarnations depuis sa création. De 1768 à 1842, c'était du single malt. Entre 1842 et 1904, il devient un vatted Scotch whisky (assemblage de single malts, souvent d'années différentes du même distillateur, mais jamais de whisky de grain). Puis, en 1904, il est devenu un mélange "riche en malt", où 85% du mélange était du whisky de malt et 15% était du whisky de grain. Une société américaine, 12 Stone Flagons, a acheté la distillerie en 1973. À partir des années 1980, ils ont commencé à sortir une gamme de whiskies Highland Single Malt vieillis pour élargir leur base de produits. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un "changeling", l'Original est toujours et a toujours été le produit phare de l'entreprise.

Couleur : or rougeâtre
Arôme : Prunes séchées, quelques notes florales, compote de pommes, poivre et noix de pécan grillées au miel avec une couche ferme de sherry.
Sensation en bouche : le corps a une sensation visqueuse légèrement huileuse qui sèche rapidement et a une longue finale.
Bouche : Un mélange intéressant de sherry, de pommes séchées, avec un élément terreux et légèrement amer de clou de girofle.
Avec une touche d'eau : moins sucré, avec des notes d'anis et l'élément terreux passe à une saveur de noisette et la finale devient plus sèche et encore plus chaude.

Returns and Refunds
