La distillerie Glendalough a été fondée par un quintet de garçons irlandais pour réintroduire cet esprit presque oublié dans le monde.
Chaque buveur connaît certainement le whisky irlandais, mais très peu connaissent le plus ancien spiritueux d'Irlande. Connu sous le nom de Poitín (pot-cheen), il date de la fin du VIe siècle. C'était l'esprit national de l'île d'émeraude jusqu'à ce qu'il soit interdit en 1661 par Charles II. En fait, ce n'est qu'en 1997 qu'il a été légalisé.
Glendalough Poitin Sherry Cask Finish est mis en bouteille à 40 % d'alcool, après six mois supplémentaires de "finition" dans un fût de sherry. Pas une crosse de sherry pleine grandeur, mais une version réduite, avec des douves internes supplémentaires. Cela augmente considérablement la surface de bois à laquelle le spiritueux est exposé.
Un effet évident de ceci est une couleur très saine qui est entièrement due au fût. Aucun caramel n'a été ajouté.
L'autre effet est sur le goût. L'influence du bois a vraiment réduit l'écart de saveur avec le whisky.
Notes de dégustation :
Arôme : Écorces d'orange et vanille, bientôt suivis d'une douceur semblable à celle du vin rouge. Très intrigant.
Goût : Assez épicé, avec une touche de chêne grillé. Fruits juteux.
Finition : Touches de Sherry doux et collant en dernier.

Delivery

If the recipient is unable to provide valid identification, the delivery will not be completed, and the products will be returned to For Whiskey Lovers.

Returns and Refunds
3.1. For Whiskey Lovers takes great care in packaging and delivering your order to ensure its quality and condition. In the event that you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect products, please contact our customer support within seven (7) days of delivery to request a return or exchange.
3.2. Refunds or replacements will be processed at For Whiskey Lovers' discretion after evaluating the nature of the issue. We may request additional information or photographic evidence to facilitate the return process.
