Avant qu'il y ait du whisky, il y avait du poitín. Poitín était l'origine de l'espèce, l'originale « eau de vie ». C'est le cadeau de l'Irlande au monde, l'un des premiers spiritueux à avoir été distillé.
Ces montagnards ne supportent pas l'idée de diluer la gnôle, semble-t-il, parce que "la force de la montagne" est à 60 % ABV. Le poitín traditionnel est distillé deux fois dans des pots, un processus qui culminerait naturellement quelque part dans les années 60.
Chaque buveur connaît certainement le whisky irlandais, mais très peu connaissent le plus ancien spiritueux d'Irlande. Connu sous le nom de Poitín (pot-cheen), il date de la fin du VIe siècle. C'était l'esprit national de l'île d'émeraude jusqu'à ce qu'il soit interdit en 1661 par Charles II. En fait, ce n'est qu'en 1997 qu'il a été légalisé.
La distillerie Glendalough a été fondée par un quintette de garçons irlandais pour réintroduire cet esprit presque oublié dans le monde.
Notes de dégustation :
Couleur : Clair.
Arôme : Nez intensément frais et vivifiant. Beaucoup d'épices poivrées et juste la moindre note de gaulthérie.
Goût : Beaucoup de chaleur (pas de surprise là-dedans), mais contrôlée par une puissante saveur de malt bien distillée. Presque moelleux et dans le moule du pain au levain. Très accessible et direct.
Finale : Assez longue avec une bonne dose de rétention de chaleur et de grains de poivre vifs.
Dans l'ensemble : Probablement ce qui se rapproche le plus du style original de Poitin créé dans les collines d'Irlande vers 750 après J. >

Delivery

If the recipient is unable to provide valid identification, the delivery will not be completed, and the products will be returned to For Whiskey Lovers.

Returns and Refunds
3.1. For Whiskey Lovers takes great care in packaging and delivering your order to ensure its quality and condition. In the event that you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect products, please contact our customer support within seven (7) days of delivery to request a return or exchange.
3.2. Refunds or replacements will be processed at For Whiskey Lovers' discretion after evaluating the nature of the issue. We may request additional information or photographic evidence to facilitate the return process.
