Le whisky canadien Forty Creek Confederate Oak Reserve est produit par un autre maître de son art, John Hall. Sa Confederate Oak Reserve apporte un triomphe riche et corsé rugissant du pays de Tim Horton et des camps de hockey toute l'année. Récoltant de vieux chênes canadiens près de sa distillerie, certains datant de plus de 150 ans (à peu près à l'époque de la « Confédération » canadienne de 1867), Hall, un ancien vigneron, exploite un « terroir » canadien spécifique que seuls ces arbres peuvent apporter à un fût : arbres à croissance plus lente qui produisent des lignines et des vanilles plus riches que l'on ne trouve normalement pas dans le chêne américain standard. Son mélange habile et équilibré de distillations séparées de maïs, de seigle et d'orge produit un spiritueux onctueux et huileux sans être sucré ou piquant.
Le résultat est une saveur corsée, éclatante et volumineuse avec des nuances de figue et de raisins secs, de crème au beurre à l'érable, de noix et d'épices. C'est un gagnant et cela vous fera changer d'avis sur ce que le whisky canadien peut et devrait être.
Notes de dégustation :
Couleur : vieil or
Arôme : est un gros whisky commençant par un érable-raisin-vanille-figue, couches de praliné, banane, crème au beurre, noix miellées, massepain, épices et fleurs d'oranger. Au fil de la persistance, les fruits noirs secs et l'anis évoluent.
Sensation en bouche : corsé
Bouche : entrée très riche ; doux, rond et sec. Corsé avec de la vanille, de la crème au beurre et des épices au poivre, joliment encadré de chêne, de noix et de fumée.
Finale : longue persistance avec des épices fanées et du poivre blanc.

Returns and Refunds
