La plupart des sorties de Caol Ila sont utilisées pour certains produits de Diageo mélanges célèbres dont Johnnie Walker. Il est embouteillé en single malt de 12 ans seulement depuis 2002. Si vous aimez vos drams au caractère affirmé, c'est pour vous.
Pour certains, Caol Ila est un goût préféré quand il a mis un peu plus au cours des années. D'autres adorent cet âge plus standard. Cela me fait toujours penser au savon au goudron de houille sur le nez, peu importe son âge et celui-ci a aussi des notes de bacon fumé. Je retrouve aussi parfois une pointe de litchi au nez de certaines expressions de Caol Ila. Sa couleur pâle masque un malt d'Islay d'une certaine intensité qui regorge de saveurs.
Notes de dégustation
Apparence : Paille pâle.
Nez : Fruit citrique discret ; une bouffée d'huile de bain et de rince-bouche du dentiste. Un nez frais et appétissant, avec peu ou pas de trace de fumée.
Bouche : Boit bien à la force naturelle ; doux départ; une fumée agréable, légèrement parfumée et une longue finale.
Finale : Doux fumé dans la persistance, finition légèrement acidulée.
Je mettrais cela en contraste avec les notes de ma défunte amie, l'écrivaine de whisky Helen Arthur, qui a dit : "Miel léger, agrumes, savon au goudron de houille [elle et moi nous sommes mis d'accord sur celui-là] et un soupçon de fumée » au nez avec le palais décrit comme : « Douceur sur la langue au début, puis fumée de feux de joie, sec presque amer, mais la note de miel de bruyère reste avec une finale moyenne. D'autres obtiennent des viandes et des poissons fumés. C'est certainement un dram complexe mais de corps moyen plutôt que lourd avec un peu d'onctuosité d'Islay

Returns and Refunds
3.1. For Whiskey Lovers takes great care in packaging and delivering your order to ensure its quality and condition. In the event that you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect products, please contact our customer support within seven (7) days of delivery to request a return or exchange.
