Mountain Range is the distillery's series of older whiskies, celebrating the land in County Tipperary.

The first release of their Limited Edition Mountain Range, ?The Knockmealdowns? is created from only 6 casks, matured in Ireland for 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels. The whiskey is cut to 47% with water from Ballindoney farm in Tipperary, owned by our co-founding family, the Ahearns.

Knockmealdowns whiskey honours the Knockmealdown Mountain Range, which straddles the border between County Tipperary and Waterford. The highest peak, the Knockmealdown, stands at 2,605 feet and looks down from the south over the plain of land on which Ballindoney farm lies.

A particularly picturesque area, the Knockmealdown Mountains are home to the ?Vee?, a V-shaped turn on the road up Sugarloaf hill. This is one of the most scenic locations in Ireland, and on a clear day you can look out over 3 counties: Tipperary, Waterford and Limerick.

As is true of much of Ireland, this area has many tales about the mysterious happenings of the past. A number of these stories relate to a stunningly beautiful lake close to the Vee called Bay Lough. Local legend tells that the lake is bottomless, and the waters are haunted by an unfortunate woman, ?Petticoat Loose?, who was banished here to empty the lake with a thimble.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma:ÿ nose opens with fresh oak, developing into hot caramel sauce with notes of chocolate and vanilla.
Taste: The palate is smooth and light, sweet honey cut through with citrus notes, then becoming savoury, peppery and round in the mouth.
Finish: The finish lingers, oak with drying tannins and just a touch of ginger spice.

ForWhiskeyLovers.com Shipping & Returns FAQ

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?

Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.

2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?

  • Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday only.

  • Please allow 1–2 business days for processing. During high-volume periods, such as holidays, processing may take up to 5 business days.

  • Saver shipping (where available) may take 5–7 days to receive local carrier tracking, with delivery typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.

  • Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the carriers.

  • We are unable to guarantee specific delivery dates.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

  • Carriers will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

  • Additional delivery attempts may require an extra delivery fee.

  • Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and all shipping charges.

4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?

Yes. Many of our products are fragile and heat-sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at our discretion.

  • ForWhiskeyLovers.com is not responsible for damage caused by extreme weather once packages are in the hands of ground couriers.

5. Can you ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, or freight forwarders?

No. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, Army Post Offices (APO), Fleet Post Offices (FPO), or freight forwarding companies.

  • Additional shipping fees may apply for special packaging requests.

7. What is your return policy?

Due to state regulations, alcohol returns are only accepted if the product is spoiled.

  • If a bottle is significantly damaged during transit, we will refund or replace it. Please email hello@forwhiskeylovers.com with photos of the damaged product and packaging.

  • All bottles are inspected before shipping.

  • Website images are for illustration purposes only. Product editions, batches, or packaging may vary unless specifically stated in the description.
