In 2017 The Last Drop Distillers bottled six casks of a superb, vintage blended Scotch Whisky: Last Drop Release no. 10: the 1971. But they held back one cask, to mature it to the grand old age of 50 vears
In 2020 they released their first rum. an incredibly powerful "overproof* Jamaican Rum. which met with rapturous enthusiasm across the world.
Back in Scotland, however, The Last Drop team wondered: what would happen if they put the remaining single barrel of the 1971 blend into the now empty Rum barrel..nothing ventured, nothing gained.
But actually. everything was gained: a year and a half maturing in this rum-saturated cask has given another layer of delicious complexity to this already multi-faceted whisky, along with increased strength, and it is sure to entrance and delight all those who taste it.
The Last Drop Release No. 29 Tasting Notes:
COLOR: rich dark honeyed amber.
AROMA: On the nose, the high ester notes from the rum cask influence present an enticing and lively invitation. This is quickly followed by the rich fruitiness of ripe bananas, mixed spice and notes of liquorice.
PALATE:ÿ With the added influence of two years in an ?overproof? ex-Jamaican Rum cask, this 50 year old Scotch Whisky has now been through four different periods of maturation: in the mouth we can explore each of these. Rich and smooth sweet fruit flavors predominate, and then the dark spiciness of black treacle, caramelized pineapple, cinnamon and a hint of liquorice.
FINISH The spicy influence of the oak lingers, alongside the dark molasses rum influence. A supremely rounded mouthfeel and 50 years of maturation and adventure linger in the memory.

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?
Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.
2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?

Please allow 1–2 business days for processing. During high-volume periods, such as holidays, processing may take up to 5 business days.

Saver shipping (where available) may take 5–7 days to receive local carrier tracking, with delivery typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

Carriers will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

Additional delivery attempts may require an extra delivery fee.

Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and all shipping charges.
4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?
Yes. Many of our products are fragile and heat-sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at our discretion.

Not always. Bottles are not guaranteed to arrive in original packaging unless specifically requested.

Due to state regulations, alcohol returns are only accepted if the product is spoiled.
