Using the best raw materials and most traditional production methods, Stauning Rye is the distillery's first officially released product, made from local rye and barley that is 100% floor-malted at the distillery.ÿ

The whisky is double-distilled in small, open-fired pot stills Unfiltered and not chill-filtered , then matured in new American oak barrels

Open-fired stills creates complex and deep flavours thanks to the fact that a still heated this way will reach significantly higher temperatures (up to 650?C). This causes any solids in the wash to stick to the inner surface of the copper, in the same way as steak placed on a hot griddle pan will start to brown. This Maillard type reaction inside the still will help to create a range of different flavour compounds, like chocolate, caramel and roasted nuts.

Stauning Rye Whisky Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Freshly-baked rye bread, wine gums and hint of pepper on the nose.

Palate: Gentle, dried fruit, ripe cherry and peppery oak, balanced by vanilla and citrus peels,

Finish: peppery finish and long smooth, fruity and sweet finish.

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?

Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.

2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?

  • Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday only.

  • Please allow 1–2 business days for processing. During high-volume periods, such as holidays, processing may take up to 5 business days.

  • Saver shipping (where available) may take 5–7 days to receive local carrier tracking, with delivery typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.

  • Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the carriers.

  • We are unable to guarantee specific delivery dates.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

  • Carriers will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

  • Additional delivery attempts may require an extra delivery fee.

  • Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and all shipping charges.

4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?

Yes. Many of our products are fragile and heat-sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at our discretion.

  • ForWhiskeyLovers.com is not responsible for damage caused by extreme weather once packages are in the hands of ground couriers.

5. Can you ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, or freight forwarders?

No. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, Army Post Offices (APO), Fleet Post Offices (FPO), or freight forwarding companies.

6. Do you ship bottles in original packaging?

Not always. Bottles are not guaranteed to arrive in original packaging unless specifically requested.

  • If original packaging is required, please include a note on your order.

  • Additional shipping fees may apply for special packaging requests.

7. What is your return policy?

Due to state regulations, alcohol returns are only accepted if the product is spoiled.

  • If a bottle is significantly damaged during transit, we will refund or replace it. Please email hello@forwhiskeylovers.com with photos of the damaged product and packaging.

  • All bottles are inspected before shipping. 

  • Website images are for illustration purposes only. Product editions, batches, or packaging may vary unless specifically stated in the description.

  • Engraved or personalized bottles are non-refundable unless damaged. If returned after failed delivery attempts, refunds will not be issued, and customers will incur return shipping fees.

1. What is your flat rate shipping policy?

We may offer flat rate shipping to the following states:

  • New Mexico (NM)

  • Washington (WA)

For all other states we ship to (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), the flat rate cost may be higher.

2. Do you ship to all U.S. states?

No. Due to local laws and carrier restrictions, we are unable to ship alcohol to the following states:

  • Illinois

  • Iowa

  • Kentucky

  • Kansas

  • Massachusetts

  • Mississippi

  • New Hampshire

  • Pennsylvania

  • Tennessee

  • Utah

3. Are there exceptions to the flat rate shipping?

Yes. Flat rate shipping may not apply to certain ZIP codes within states we serve, due to higher carrier delivery rates in those areas.
