Kentucky Peerless Double Oak Bourbon is a twice aged bourbon that was inspired by an accident necessitating Kentucky Peerless to transfer the bourbon in a leaky barrel to another barrel in order to salvage it. Once only released as single barrels because of this phenomenon, the process inspired Kentucky Peerless to make an ongoing product as a result.
Peerless Double Oak Rye Whiskey is an expertly crafted whiskey with superior complexity and flavor. Through two full barrel extractions, it has strong grain, fruit, and herbaceous notes that are balanced and packed with flavor. It is barrel-proof, made in the USA, with no chill-filtering and no water added.
Peerless Double Oak Rye Tasting Notes:
Aroma: beautiful, bursting with roasted nuts, citrus zest, and sweet oak.
Palate: The first sip offers notes of toasted sugar, bold oak, spicy cinnamon, and sweet grasses. Citrus to offer a tea element. Another sip adds warm leather and rich tobacco.
Finish: sweet oak of the barrel and the mouthfeel thickens to a chew.
