Karas Single Vineyard Areni 2021 is a distinctive Armenian red wine grown in the volcanic soils of Armavir, nestled between the legendary Mount Ararat and Mount Aragats. This wine is crafted entirely from Areni, an indigenous grape that has flourished for centuries in the high-altitude vineyards of the region. Fermented in traditional Armenian oak barrels and aged for eight months in amphorae—locally known as karas—this expression is a pure reflection of Armenia’s ancient winemaking heritage and modern craftsmanship. The result is a small-production, terroir-driven wine with an alcohol content of 13%.

On the nose, Karas Areni 2021 opens with aromas of ripe red fruit, blackberries, and subtle spice. The palate reveals a harmonious structure, where soft tannins carry flavors of cherry, plum, cracked pepper, and a touch of vanilla. Its balanced acidity and earthy undertones offer a refined depth that evolves with each sip. This elegant yet vibrant profile makes it an ideal match for grilled lamb, tomato-based pastas, and Armenia’s traditional khorovats. It performs best when served slightly below room temperature, between 16°C to 18°C, to accentuate its fruit and mineral complexity.

Sourced from Tierras de Armenia’s single vineyard estate, this wine represents a union of heritage and innovation. With guidance from Argentine winemaker Gabriel Rocha and the expertise of Michel Rolland, Karas continues to push the boundaries of Armenian viticulture. Each bottle of Karas Single Vineyard Areni is an invitation to explore Armenia’s rebirth as a modern wine destination, offering a story etched in soil, amphora, and vine.

ForWhiskeyLovers.com Shipping & Returns FAQ

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?

Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.

2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?

  • Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday only.

  • Please allow 1–2 business days for processing. During high-volume periods, such as holidays, processing may take up to 5 business days.

  • Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the carriers.

  • We are unable to guarantee specific delivery dates.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

  • Carriers will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

  • Additional delivery attempts may require an extra delivery fee.

  • Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and all shipping charges.

4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?

Yes. Many of our products are fragile and heat-sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at our discretion.

  • ForWhiskeyLovers.com is not responsible for damage caused by extreme weather once packages are in the hands of ground couriers.
