It all starts in the soil. The distillery's rye, wheat and corn are grown and harvested just a few miles from the distillery at Send Brothers Farm in Williamsburg, Michigan. The Grand Traverse region is known for our rolling hills, fresh water and harsh seasons, all of which lend well to maintaining hearty and tested crops. ??
Bins from the farm are delivered weekly to Grand Traverse Distillery, and they mill the yield down into our mash tun at the perfect recipe. Thier spirits are a Certified Craft Distilled, Kosher and Pure Michigan at its finest, so much so that they put it on the bottle.
Grand Traverse Distillery is the first distillery in the Great State of Michigan to earn the Pure Michigan designation for their bottles based on their commitment to the use of local agriculture and pure Michigan water. When you open a bottle of the bourbon for the first time you are truly about to enjoy one of Michigan?s finest hand-crafted products.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Deep, brilliant copper with hints of gold.
Aroma: The aromatics are complex and pure with scents of toasted grain, caramel, vanilla bean, smoky hardwood charcoal notes, nutmeg, and cigar box.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and not as dense or assertive as many Bourbons, which is interesting as it?s bottled over-proof without showing a hint of being hot.
Taste: The palate is in full agreement with the nose offering a silky and zesty marriage of fruit, caramel, pepper and brown baking spices with a silky blast that coats the palate and lingers for minutes.

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?
Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.
2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?

Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday only.

Please allow 1–2 business days for processing. During high-volume periods, such as holidays, processing may take up to 5 business days.

Saver shipping (where available) may take 5–7 days to receive local carrier tracking, with delivery typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.

Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the carriers.

We are unable to guarantee specific delivery dates.
3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

Carriers will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

Additional delivery attempts may require an extra delivery fee.

Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and all shipping charges.
4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?
Yes. Many of our products are fragile and heat-sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at our discretion.

5. Can you ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, or freight forwarders?
No. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, Army Post Offices (APO), Fleet Post Offices (FPO), or freight forwarding companies.
6. Do you ship bottles in original packaging?
Not always. Bottles are not guaranteed to arrive in original packaging unless specifically requested.

7. What is your return policy?
Due to state regulations, alcohol returns are only accepted if the product is spoiled.

If a bottle is significantly damaged during transit, we will refund or replace it. Please email hello@forwhiskeylovers.com with photos of the damaged product and packaging.
