ThisÿLagavulin 1997 was matured in refill American oak filled during the tenure of distillery manager Mike Nicolson.

Special Characteristics of this Lagavulin 1977:

When was the whisky bottled:ÿ25th February 2022

Bottles available to purchase:ÿ66 Bottles US / 625 worldwide

What makes this whisky a "last":ÿThis is a cherished Lagavulin, from the distillery's last 1997 casks, "winter whisky' distilled on February 25th.

Why was this bottle chosen as part of the fourth release of Prima & Ultima:ÿThe final memory of a golden year at the distillery, 1997, when third generation distillery manager Mike Nicolson was custodian of the Lagavulin legacy. This is Lagavulin as it should be, mature, rich and in its pomp, a beautifully rounded example of the power and majesty of this Islay malt.

Dr Emma Walker's (Master Blender) thoughts on this bottling:ÿ"The very first malf whisky she tried was a Lagavulin and its spectacular qualities enticed her to enter the world of whisky."

ForWhiskeyLovers.com Shipping & Returns FAQ

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?

Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.

2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?

  • Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday only.

  • Please allow 1–2 business days for processing. During high-volume periods, such as holidays, processing may take up to 5 business days.

  • Saver shipping (where available) may take 5–7 days to receive local carrier tracking, with delivery typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.

  • Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the carriers.

  • We are unable to guarantee specific delivery dates.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

  • Carriers will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

  • Additional delivery attempts may require an extra delivery fee.

  • Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and all shipping charges.

4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?

Yes. Many of our products are fragile and heat-sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at our discretion.
