"The nose offers a fresh and aromatic experience with a subtle whiff of smoke floating through the air. The taste starts with a light fruit and nut appeal that leads to a spectacular malty sweetness, finishing into a beautifully rich full-bodied, lingering experience." - Distillery

Tasting Notes byÿCommanger HGH Glendidit:

The 12-year-old Bunnahabhain is an essential representative of Islay single malts because of the near total absence of peat in what we might call its ?Flavor Profile.? This is the way Islay single malts taste without the sometimes obscuring fog of peatiness for which the Ileach malts are famous. ?Ileach? is the adjectival form of ?Islay?. You see? How would anyone have guessed that?

Taste it.

There is a hint of smokiness, only the barest hint, followed by a delightful nuttiness and the incense of light? could it be? kiwi? Some sherry influence from its time in-barrel and a light salt tang. A touch of herbs and honey. Sweet maltiness and a dab of spices.

Undoubtedly the freshness of this taste, its unusual distinction from other Islay malts has to do with something the Scotch scientists of Bunnahabhain call ?Un-Chill-Filtration.? You see, Bunnahabhain, unlike most of the other scotches that require chill filtering to subdue the more noxious elements in their flavor profiles, comes to you with its original taste and colour intact.

Try it again.

That's what Ileach Scotch tastes like before its sucked into the peat bog. And now, pronounce ?Bunnahabhain?.

Not bad. Your accent is getting better.

Order yourself the The Bunnhabhain 12 Year Old. A truly singular single malt.

  • We are unable to guarantee specific delivery dates.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?
