I am a doctoral student in medicine with a good background in biochemistry, so I have a great interest on the effects of cask finishing for scotch above all else. I also love analyzing how tasting in different areas and before/after certain meals has a positive or negative effect on the taste of whisky. The neuro-analysis of smelling/ tasting/ enjoying whisk(e)y is something that I really would love to continue learning about. I enjoy all whisky but am a fanatic with Islay cask strength whiskies.
