What is it about Irish copper pot whiskey that makes it such a clean, crisp taste? All the copper pots I've had have that quality, I don't find it anywhere else. Writers Tears stands above the rest for me. I remember my first taste, the wonderful smooth feel and even mouth of it seemed to melt away the day's stress. Sweet but not overly so, to me at any rate but I do tend towards the sweeter things,  The butterscotch was the taste that stood out the most followed by milder honey and vanilla then a nutty finish. I wish the finish was longer but I just let it swirl a few extra laps around my tongue.

I can't say enough good things about this, in fact now everytime I have a down day my friends look at me and say "Writer's Tears?"
