Mannochmore 25 Year Old (750mL)

An unusually rich MANNOCHMORE that makes a self-assured digestif at natural strength, yet reveals complexity with water. Perfect study in appetizing charred bitter-sweet pungency.  A limited edition, natural cask strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky from MANNOCHMORE, a relatively young Speyside distillery whose whisky is rarely seen as a single malt.

Tasting Notes:

Color:  Deep amber, with copper lights. Good beading

Nose:  Mellow and deep. Fruity in the main, with candied orange peel, red apple and tart green apple all emerging from a dense, scorched fruitcake layer. Warming and powerful, growing faintly spicy and earthy, with late scent of flowers.

Body:  Light to medium

Taste:  Smooth, textured and coating, the taste starts hot and sweet, with hints of burnt orange peel, vanilla toffee and creamy coffee. Becoming fragrant and floral, as orange oil and Turkish delight appear against a compelling burnt pastry bitterness.

Finish: Medium length—firm, bitter-sweet and pungent with a faintly smoky warmth and aftertaste of coconut, dried fruit.
