Nick Offerman loves Lagavulin. In fact, he loves it so much he created his own edition, Nick also loves Guinness. But most of all, Nick loves his Dad, who is a fan of both Lagavulin and Guinness, So for Fathers Day 2021, Nick set off on his most ambitions mission yet: to combine all three of his passions into the best Fathers Day gift he could imagine - a new and very limited edition whisky.
Just in time for Fathers Day 20201, Offerman collaborated with Lagavulin distillery manager Colin Gordon to select the liquid for this special edition, matured for five months in barrels that previously held Guinness Beer at the Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore Maryland.
The result is a glorious adventure in "sweet peat" by combining the intense peat and charred wood notes of Lagavulin with the roasted coffee, dark chocolate and sweet caramel notes from the Guinness casks.
