The next installment of Kaiyo's excellent Japanese portfolio, The Sheri was initially aged in Olorosso and Pedro Ximinez Sherry casks, and then finished in Mizunara oak. Made from 100% malted barely, the whisky is unchillfiltered and bottled at 46% abv.
The Sheri is said to be Kaiyo’s Master Blender’s finest work in his 15 year career, who created this whisky to share with his daughters at their wedding.
Only 450 cases released world wide.
Aroma: Buttered toffee and stewed fruits
Palate: Starts off like desert with dried fruits, blackberry jam and chocolate notes
Finish: Notes of leather and charred oak
