The combination of Bourbon and Barbecue is something of a southern delicacy. Now that summer is upon us, Booker’s has just released its latest batch, the perfect sidekick to your barbecue plate.
Backyard BBQ marks the second batch of Booker's Bourbon for 2018. This batch is named in honor of Booker Noe's famous "bourbon-ques" and his love for hosting cookouts for friends, family, neighbors, and distillery employees in his own backyard in Bardstown, Ky. Noe was known for his bourbon-cues, in which he used his employees and friends as Guinea Pigs to try out his cooking – and more importantly, his latest whiskey experiment. Tying that tradition up in a neat little bow, bottling it up and redistributing it seems the perfect way to commemorate Booker’s Bourbons humble beginnings, and they’ve done just that with their latest batch.
This batch of Kentucky straight bourbon was aged for 6 years, 2 months, and 10 days. As always, Bookers is is uncut and unfiltered and this release is bottled at cask strenght: 128.8 proof.
