Of all the bourbon barrels Garrison Brothers filled in 2008, their favorite barrel at the distillery was Barrel Number 6. Why? It produced a bourbon that, in just over a year, had matured into a handsome spirit with more taste, sophistication, and elegance than we had ever hoped to achieve. So good, that they bottled the bourbon the very day they sampled it, and decided that it would become their signature profile. Every barrel they sample from must be as good as or better than this profile bourbon before it goes into a small batch.
Of course, they'd carefully monitored how this particular bourbon was made, so they knew how to replicate the recipe. Indeed, every barrel they produced over the next few years was made just like Barrel Number 6. This is the bourbon that became their flagship: Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
